SALE – WAS £420 NOW £300 This is a framed and glazed colour Lithograph after Henri Matisse (1869 – 1954), The last works of Henri Matisse, 1952, in original family ownership since bought, the paper label verso reveals These Matisse Lithographs come from the verve portfolio of 1958 dedicated to the last works of Matisse 1950-54. The lithographic stones were drawn after the paper cut-out images he produced during this period and printed by Mourlot Freres under Matisses direct supervision. Sadly, Matisse died before the portfolio was published. This Original ebonised framed and glazed colour Lithograph is in excellent condition and represents a wonderful opportunity to own a piece of artwork newly brought to market by this most iconic and seminal of great artists. It is said that his works sang with colour influenced as they were by Gauguin, Paul Signac, Gustave Moreau and Vincent van Gogh among others.
