With lower land on the right with further trees, a small open orchard area where 2 sheep can be seen grazing. In front a golden brown tree is in-between boulders in the river. Further back in the distance hills & mountain ranges, higher up white cloud sky with spots of blue coming through near the very top, over the left is grey storm cloud gathering. In our opinion this is a very fine example of his work. Biography of the artist Thomas Spinks a known British artist who was born in 1847. His works have been sold at auction houses around the world & exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool also in the Manchester Art Gallery & The Royal Academy. The highest sold price was for 6,650 Us Dollars, for a work of his that sold at Christies. Spinks was primarily a landscape, he was recorded as living in London in 1880. he exhibited between 1880 and 1907. He moved to North Wales Betws-y-Coed in 1889. He died in 1927.
