William B.Hough (1829-1897) was a painter of still-life and birds’ nests. Exhibited from 1857-1894 at the RA, BI, SS, NWS and elsewhere. Worked at Coventry and for many years in London. Imitator of W.H.Hunt, closely following his painting of flowers and fruit. He is represented (among other places) in Glasgow Art Gallery. ‘Still-Life of Strawberries and Plums’ signed watercolour dated (18)74.
