Wilmot Pilsbury RBSA, RWS (1840-1908) was a painter of landscape and domestic genre in watercolour. Born in Dorking Surrey; studied at Birmingham School of Art and South Kensington Schools; pupil of J.Walker. Became Headmaster of Leicester School of Art. Exhibited 68 works at the Fine Art Society, 39 at the Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham,6 at the RA but mainly at the RWS where he showed 250 works. A memorial exhibition of his works was held at the Fine Art Society in 1908. *Woodland Scene’ signed watercolour dated 1884* Image size 27 x42 cms,framed size 46.5x62cns
